The One-Page Resume That Actually Passes ATS
How Indian recruiters and applicant tracking systems read your resume in eleven seconds, and how to win both.
Two readers, one document
Your resume is parsed by software before a human sees it. The software wants plain structure and matching keywords; the human wants evidence of impact. A single-column, one-page layout serves both.
The bullet formula
Write every bullet as action plus object plus measurable result. 'Reduced page load from 4.1s to 1.3s by code-splitting the dashboard' beats 'Responsible for frontend performance' in both systems.
What to cut
Remove photos, tables, columns, skill rating bars, declarations and your full address. Each one either confuses the parser or wastes attention.
Tailoring without rewriting
Keep one master resume. For each application, reorder bullets and swap five keywords from the job description. That takes ten minutes and roughly doubles callback rates.
Frequently asked
Should freshers include projects?
